I get calls and emails all the time from the many people who read this blog. They’re all pretty much asking me the same question.

Jim, how do you cope with the fact of knowing you have cancer and that it may very well kill you within the next 6-12 months.

My answer is pretty simple…. Just one Day at a Time!.

I also think it more difficult for those people around you that love you then it is for myself. Oh sure there are many time of solitude that I think why me god and I’m scared. But I try to flash back to that plack I saw on Dr Ally wall…..

Life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, It’s about learning to dance in the rain!

As we all know, our results are only as good as our plan. One of my mentors, taught me that it’s not what happens that determines the major part of our future, because what happens, happens to us all.

Instead, he taught me the key is what we do about it.

If we start the process of change by developing a plan, doing something different in this next year than we did the previous year, it won’t matter how small those efforts start.

Start doing “different” things with the same set of circumstances – the ones we’ve always had and cannot change – and see what miracles occur.

If we start the miracle process and change ourselves, then everything changes. And here’s what is interesting: the difference between success and failure is so subtle.

Let me explain by giving you my definitions of failure and success.

Here it is: Failure is a few errors in judgment repeated every day. The man says, “Well I didn’t walk around the block today and it didn’t kill me, so it must be okay.”

No, it’s this kind of error in judgment that after six years has him out of breath and panting as he walks from his car to his office. You can’t make those kinds of mistakes; it will end up costing you.

Now, here is my definition of success: A few simple disciplines practiced every day.

Do you see the distinction? A few disciplines. Here’s a little phrase we’ve all heard: “An apple a day keeps the doctor away.” And my question to you is, “What if that’s true?” How simple and easy is that plan?

The fact is, when you look at successful people, you will almost always DISCOVER a plan behind their success. They know what they want, they work out a plan that will get them where they want to go, and they work their plan.

It is the foundation for success. We as humans have the unique ability to produce change in our lives; it is through our own conscious choice when we engage in the miracle process of personal development that we are able to transform our nature and our lives.

I memorized that from a plack on the wall while I was waiting for my Doctor, Nicola Ally, MD to give me the results of my Pet-Scan.

Wow Did You Ever Have a Pet-Scan?

CAT scan and PET scan together advances cancer detection process The combined technology of computer assisted tomography or CAT scans and positron emission tomography or PET scans may detect the cancer and other diseases easily.

For a guy my size, I don’t think so! They make these machines for people my wife Rosie’s size 5′ 4″ 120# not a 6′ 3″ 300 pounder like myself. I was in PAIN, the contortions they put my body through.

I actually had myself believing that Dr Ally was going to say that all the pain I had just gone through was all in vain because the didn’t get good images and they would have to do it again……… Funny I really wasn’t worrying about her telling me the machine was showing I now had cancer everywhere in my body. I just didn’t want to go through that machine again!

You see leading up to this they had said I now had another mass in my middle right lung and they wanted to do another needle biopsy  of it because it was larger the the other mass, And we needed to move quick but wanted me to have the Pet-Scan first to determine it’s true size.

But alas, she came in with a big smile on her face and said I have some good news for you! She said the second mass was gone. How could that happen I asked? Well she said, …. with about 5 minutes of medical jargon I didn’t understand.

Walking out of her office I said to my wife Rosie, Do you think it was the Silver Sol I have been taking everyday by nebulizer? Or was it Prayer? Or a combination of both.

I don’t know for sure if Silver Solution killed that one cancer. I do know for sure I will be taking it for the rest of my life.

Monday I get my radiation tattoo’s More on that next time….

In today’s economy, it can be pretty tough to make money anywhere, but some folks are earning money hand over fist online and they’re doing it in a real 11 year old business.

There’s a lot that can be learned from people like me, especially if you’re willing to listen.

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how the average person can get started making money online. So I tried to look at things from a beginner’s standpoint, and I did a few different searches of Google and found that the majority of the results were for sites that were trying to get you to buy stuff to “teach” you how to make money online.

Truthfully, this made me sad. While it does require hard work and some persistence, one of the biggest draws to the internet opportunities is the simple fact that it shouldn’t require a huge initial investment to get started…

The tools are out there, they are often just hidden amidst the sites that are trying to profit on people who are trying to get started.

Many believe that in order to build a successful business online you need a web site you have to invest a lot of money into it and become some web programming genius. Or they believe you have to have some kind of product to sell.

Not true at all.

The key to success with any affiliate program is finding your topic of passion and developing a web site on a topic you love and know a lot about. Find your niche, develop your site’s theme, and attract as much targeted traffic as you can. or

Find a company like Nutronix International that will do that work for you.

Find a leader like myself that will take you by the hand and show you what I’m doing to be successful and teach you to do the same thing.

I love this job… Although only serious about it for 16 years now, I have been fortunate in that others willing to lend helping hands came easily…. It was up to me to take advantage of their generosity… and that I did…

I’m telling you this for a reason…success in network marketing is attainable…especially when you have good people lending those helping hands…

As I progressed it didn’t take me long to figure out that if I didn’t pay particular attention to the sponsorship and training aspect of this marketing thing, and incorporate into my routines a set amount of time and effort to helping my people in my downlines replicate what I was doing, that soon I would not have a downline to Worry about…

It also didn’t take me long to figure out that I better be pretty darn sure I was with a good company marketing good products… hard to put a value on our time but not so hard to realize when we are wasting it after it’s gone…

No matter what you do for a living – whether you are a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, a secretary, housewife or construction worker – do you find yourself thinking, “There must be a better way, a less complicated way, a smoother road”

True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost. As a US Navy Veteran myself I thought I would switch gears a little today and talk about something that is very near and dear to my heart.

Memorial Day, originally called Decoration Day, is a day of remembrance for those who have died in our nation’s service. There are many stories as to its actual beginnings, with over two dozen cities and towns laying claim to being the birthplace of Memorial Day. There is also evidence that organized woman’s groups in the South were decorating graves before the end of the Civil War:

Memorial Day was officially proclaimed on 5 May 1868 by General John Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic, in his General Order No. 11, and was first observed on 30 May 1868, when flowers were placed on the graves of Union and Confederate soldiers at Arlington National Cemetery.

The first state to officially recognize the holiday was New York in 1873. By 1890 it was recognized by all of the northern states. The South refused to acknowledge the day, honoring their dead on separate days until after World War I (when the holiday changed from honoring just those who died fighting in the Civil War to honoring Americans who died fighting in any war).

It is now celebrated in almost every State on the last Monday in May (passed by Congress with the National Holiday Act of 1971 (P.L. 90 – 363) to ensure a three day weekend for Federal holidays), though several southern states have an additional separate day for honoring the Confederate war dead: January 19 in Texas, April 26 in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Mississippi; May 10 in South Carolina; and June 3 (Jefferson Davis’ birthday) in Louisiana and Tennessee.

In 1915, inspired by the poem “In Flanders Fields,”
Moina Michael replied with her own poem:

We cherish too, the Poppy red
That grows on fields where valor led,
It seems to signal to the skies
That blood of heroes never dies.

She then conceived of an idea to wear red poppies on Memorial day in honor of those who died serving the nation during war. She was the first to wear one, and sold poppies to her friends and co-workers with the money going to benefit servicemen in need.

Traditional observance of Memorial day has diminished over the years. Many Americans nowadays have forgotten the meaning and traditions of Memorial Day.

At many cemeteries, the graves of the fallen are increasingly ignored, neglected. Most people no longer remember the proper flag etiquette for the day. While there are towns and cities that still hold Memorial Day parades, many have not held a parade in decades. Some people think the day is for honoring any and all dead, and not just those fallen in service to our country.

To help re-educate and remind Americans of the true meaning of Memorial Day, the “National Moment of Remembrance” resolution was passed on Dec 2000 which asks that at 3 p.m. local time, for all Americans “To voluntarily and informally observe in their own way a Moment of remembrance and respect, pausing from whatever they are doing for a moment of silence or listening to ‘Taps.”

The Moment of Remembrance is a step in the right direction to returning the meaning back to the day. What is needed is a full return to the original day of observance. Set aside one day out of the year for the nation to get together to remember, reflect and honor those who have given their all in service to their country.

As a Veteran, I hope you will join us and saying,  Dear Heavenly Father,

As we remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom, we think of how they have followed in the footsteps of your son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please hold our service men and women in your strong arms. Cover them with your sheltering grace and presence as they stand in the gap for our protection.

We also remember the families of our troops, and ask for your unique blessings to fill their homes and your peace, provision and strength to fill their lives.

May the members of our armed forces be filled with courage to face each day and may they trust in the Lord’s mighty power to accomplish each task. Let our military brothers and sisters feel our love and support.
